YSJSU | Senate Elections Notice!

It’s the start of a brand new year and coming along with it, a brand new election.

For the first time ever YSJSU are hosting a full election for liberation officers and Sports/Societies Officers to be a part of the YSJSU Student Senate.

The successful candidates will meet with the Presidents and Chairs of School three times a year in a meeting chaired by the Leader of Senate. The meeting will create positive action for students studying at YSJ and make changes that will benefit them in the present, and the future.

The positions available for elections are:

- International Officer
- BAME Officer
Disabilities Officer
- Postgraduate Officer
- Mature Officer
- LGBTQ+ Officer
- Sports Officer
- Societies Officer

Important dates:

Nominations:
Friday 15th September – Friday 29th September, 10am

You can nominate yourself by logging in to ysjsu.com/vote – all you need is a catchy slogan, a square image of yourself and a brief bit about you.

Voting:
Wednesday 11th October, 9am – Friday 13th October, 5pm

Voting will take place across the campus from Wednesday – Friday and will take place at ysjsu.com/vote. To vote all students need to do is login at that address with their username and password.
