Jobs Description

York students are being offered paid work by City of York Council to promote voter registration through student accommodation canvassing.

Students are able to earn £9 per hour and work a maximum of 20 hours per polling district. Anyone wanting to canvass must attend a paid compulsory 60 minute training session with Electoral Services.

The last day to register during the annual canvass is 22 November 2018 however, rolling registration will continue up until 12 April 2019. On campus voter registration forms will be delivered by student residence canvassers in a bid to make it easier for York students to register to vote.
