Occupational Therapy Society

The Occupational Therapy Society provides affordable opportunities to extend learning beyond the degree programme and meet other Occupational Therapy students in a relaxed and friendly environment. We are a mixed gender, inclusive society, open to all years of study to promote networking within the OT community and encourage peer support. Regular events range from journal discussions, guest speakers to film nights and social events all of which can contribute to continued professional development portfolios. Exciting opportunities organised by the previous committee included a dementia tour and playing visually impaired tennis. As a Society we are proud of our Bronze Accrediation which was awarded due to our involvement with the local community and our fundraising efforts towards our chosen charities. Each year the Society supports two new charities who we think will benefit from our donations and support. We are keen to promote the profession and the value of occupation throughout the year with a key highlight of our calendar being OT week!
