Do you study Psychology, Sociology, Criminology or Police Studies? Or do you just have a generic interest in Social Sciences and fancy learning more about these? Well we have the perfect Society here at YSJSU for you!
Social Sciences Society is managed by a very enthusiastic and friendly committee who are keen to recruit some new members for the 18/19 academic year. They have recently rebranded and changed their name from Psychology Society in the hope to reach out to students who study a course that falls under the School of Phycological and Social Sciences or is just generally interested in this area!
Joining a Society whilst at University is an excellent way of socialising and making friends, but a Course Based Society also has that added advantage that they offer academic support and guidance where needed! Why wouldn’t you join?! For £15 a year, you get access to some cracking social events alongside academic drop in sessions. They’ve got some fun things planned for the next few months such as a Pop Quiz in the SU, Bowling and Laser Tag at Clifton Moor and they’ve even been in discussion with some lecturers to become involved with the Society by hosting events and discussing their research.
