Hi everyone! With the Students’ Union elections taking place this week we have taken a short break from the Lockdown Keep Fit daily activities while we focus on the Students' Union's annual elections.
To find out more information about the election taking place next week make sure to visit the Students’ Union Facebook Page and website.
However, don’t worry! Our President of Wellbeing and Diversity Emma and Sports Coordinator Ben have put together a blog of lots of activities you can keep doing over the next week!
For all activities, always make sure you:
- Warm-up beforehand and cool down afterwards as appropriate
- Always only do what you feel comfortable with and is within your ability
Start a schedule
Why not use this week to start a daily schedule of activities! There are loads of great resources available on YouTube for scheduled activities you can try. Here are a few which we recommend:
PE with Joe Wicks
PE with Joe Wicks has started again! Joe will be doing a session three days a week Monday, Wednesday and Friday on his YouTube channel. This started up in January so here is the link for the first session

Nike Training Club (NTC) - Community Workouts
In the first lockdown Nike posted a weekly community workout as part of the Nike Training club (NTC). There are 9 weeks available here as well as loads of other NTC activities and workouts on their YouTube channel. Check out the first week's here:

England Rugby Get Your Shirt On:
England Rugby players Ugo Monye, Danielle Waterman and Danny Care have put together a series of workout sessions designed to keep players active during lockdown.

Sport England have put together a selection of online exercise platforms with on-demand fitness content that either provide free access or have teamed up with us to offer extended trials. The options cover aspects of general fitness to help you get or keep active.

BUCS
BUCS have launched a series of challenges available through the BUCS Play App which you can sign up to and represent York St John in a leader board against all other universities!
