Subject Spotlight – Memoirs

Online Reading List - December 2021 - Memoirs

After our first month of the Subject Spotlight focusing on Mental Health, we’re now moving onto our second month of the project, with December focusing on ‘Memoirs’.

The memoirs included in our project are narratives written from the perspective of diverse authors, about an important, pivotal part of their life. Some famous memoirs range from Elie Wiesel’s ‘Night’, telling how he survived his teenage years at Auschwitz and Buchenwald, to Emma Dabiri’s ‘Don’t Touch My Hair’ exploring the painful realities and history of follicular racism for black women.

Head to the library to see our Subject Spotlight ‘Memoirs’ stand or head online to access our online reading list for this month. Take some time during your Christmas break to read a memoir or two from diverse individuals who have overcome adversities in their lives.
