Senate | Meet your Sports Officer!
So.. Who are you?
Hi, I'm Josh Taylor and i am currently a 3rd year sports science and injury rehabilitation student. I am from Wakefield in West Yorkshire and my main hobby at uni is football.
Who would you want with you if you were stranded on a deserted island?
If I was stranded on a dessert island i would want to be stranded with Bear Grylls, who else is going to give you a better chance of survival? Plus it would be entertaining to watch him eat and drink all the weird stuff on the island.
If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to and why?
1966 just because it would be nice to see England actually win something, instead of the disappointment's that we get nowadays.
What does your perfect day look like?
Wednesdays are the perfect days. Nice lay in the morning, then having a match at home, followed by a social then frat and the best part of the night, A Maccies before bed.
Where do you most want to travel, but have never been?
I would love to travel more of Italy, i have been to Rome before and absolutely loved everything about the place. So i really want to go back and explore the country better.
Who is your role model, and why?
Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock. I was a massive fan of the old WWF wrestling and loved the guy ever since, he was the most entertaining guy around then and the amount of work and dedication he has in his carer today is incredible. Even with all the success that he achieves he is still a very humble guy. Legend!!
What song or album instantly transports you to a happy place?
Chance the Rapper - Colouring Book or Post Malone - Stoney (deluxe)
Your final meal ever… what would it be?
Would have to be pizza and chips, cant get enough of that meal!
Why did you decide to run for this role?
I decided to run for the role of sports officer because I have a massive passion for all the sport that takes place at YSJ and I love to see all our teams winning in BUCS and Varsity competitions. So i wanted to take this chance to do a little extra for the university and try to help the clubs out in anyway I can to make sure they are continuously improving.
