ELECTIONS 18 | HOW TO VOTE!
Coming up is your opportunity to vote in the annual elections for YSJSU. As a student body, you will decide on who will be the next group of Presidents, Chairs of School and the NUS Delegates.... the power rests with you! From Tuesday 20th – Friday 23rd February, you will able to vote by simply heading to the SU website at www.ysjsu.com/vote and logging in. To login just remember it’s your whole e-mail address ending‘ @yorksj.ac.uk’ and your network password (same as moodle).
STV (THE VOTING SYSTEM)
When you vote, you will use STV or ‘Single Transferrable Vote’ to choose your successful candidates. This means that within each election you cast a vote, you will be voting in order of preference; ranking ‘1’ as your first choice, ‘2’ as second and so on… Don’t forget RON though – our silent partner in elections, standing for ‘Reopen Nominations.’ If you don’t believe in any of the candidates you can put RON as your 1st choice, or any choice in the ranking.
We will have a number of voting stands around campus with iPads for you to use to vote all week, so come and say hi & have your say!
